Senior Litigation Associate – Administrative and Public Law WeirFoulds is seeking a senior litigation associate to join our thriving Regulatory Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have: 5-8 years of civil litigation experience, from either private practice or in house, including hearing experience and administrative / public law experience Sustained interest or experience with administrative law and tribunals will be considered an asset Experience working with professional regulation matters and working with regulatory bodies is preferred but not mandatory Strong technical, legal, research and drafting skills combined with excellent organization skills Demonstrated strengths in entrepreneurialism including client service, client relationships and client development Ability to work with lawyers at all levels and be a team player Able to balance competing demands as well as being self-motivated, innovative and flexible Ability to manage document intensive files Confidence to manage files and clients independently Excellent academic credentials The successful candidate will work with our experienced team of lawyers on a variety of challenging and diverse civil litigation and administrative and public law matters including professional regulation and discipline cases, judicial reviews of government and regulatory decision-making, human rights, and access to information and privacy matters. Our lawyers represent professional regulatory colleges, regulatory authorities, universities, Crown corporations, owner-managed businesses, and private foundations.
