Journeyperson Welders- 14 Day Rotation-12 Hour Shifts

Weldco Heavy Industries (WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park. Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a Journeyperson Welders for the Fort MacKay location on a 14-days on/ 14-days off rotation, 12-hour shifts. Reporting to the Shop Foreman your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following; What you will do: Repair/rebuild of large mining equipment including; heavy haul truck boxes, dozer blades, shovel clam/backwall dippers What you bring to the position: * Proficiency in all position use of: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW; all sizes of weld wire * Reading and interpretation of blueprints * Proficient in the use of oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines * Active participation in Safety Programs * Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times * Preference will be given to applicants that have worked on Oil Sands sites and demonstrate sustained safety consciousness Your qualifications: * Certified Red Seal or Alberta Journeyperson Welder * One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset * Valid fall protection & elevated work platform certificate * Additional valid safety certifications is an asset What we bring: * Competitive pay, along with shift premiums * A living allowance will be provided * Rewards - service rewards, employee discounts * Personal growth, career advancement opportunities * A workplace that prides itself on safety, cleanliness, respect, and results * Feedback and recognition for a job well done * No accommodations or transportation provided Please note: Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation upon hiring. ****** Weldco Heavy Industry resides on a reserve; if the employee has a certificate of Indian status, they may fill out Form Td1-IN E to have their income exempt from taxes. Repair and rebuild large mining equipment such as heavy haul truck boxes, dozer blades, and shovel dippers. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while reporting to the Shop Foreman.

Must be a Certified Red Seal or Alberta Journeyperson Welder with valid fall protection and elevated work platform certificates. Experience in manufacturing and familiarity with Oil Sands sites is preferred.
