Mi-Jack Operator/Laborer Weldco Heavy Industries (WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort MacKay Caribou Energy Park. Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting for a Mi-Jack Operator/Laborer for the Fort MacKay location on a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts. Reporting to the Shop Foreman your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: What you will do: * Operate gantry crane, overhead crane & forklift to facilitate movement of parts/products * Move parts and finished products to and from the shop and yard * Read and interpret blueprints to ensure the correct parts are sorted appropriately * Maintain and organize areas, tag parts, store and locate parts * Follow work order directions and instructions given by supervisor * Perform other duties as required, such as sandblasting and painting The role is to move parts and products between facility locations to enable an efficient flow of job orders and ensure production schedules are met. You will be frequently operating the forklift and using other mobile equipment. Operate heavy machinery such as gantry cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts to facilitate the movement of parts and products within the facility. Maintain organized work areas, interpret blueprints to sort parts, and perform additional tasks like sandblasting and painting as required.

Requires a high school diploma and the ability to work in various seasonal conditions. Preferred qualifications include one year of manufacturing experience and certifications in crane operation, rigging, forklift, fall protection, and elevated work platforms.
