September 3, 2026 GROVES MEMORIAL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL POSTING #2026-201 REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE – OPERATING ROOM (TEMPORARY FULL TIME) One (1) temporary full time RPN opportunity is available in the Operating Room at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. This position is unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106. QUALIFICATIONS: Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Current BCLS certification Successful completion of an Accredited Operating Room Course/Certification Minimum 2 years experience working in the Operating Room/Day Surgery and Endoscopy Must be available to take on call/ standby shifts as scheduled and meet the call back requirements IV Therapy Course (or up to scope) Cardiac Monitoring / Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) Demonstrated Physical Assessment skills Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Must demonstrate success working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting Demonstrated lifelong learner Must demonstrate successfully working in a team environment Satisfactory performance and attendance required Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired HOURS: Standard Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Day Surgery hours: Monday - Friday as required and a regular monthly minimum rotation of stand by including call backs. Must be able to respond to on call within a specified timeframe.
