Journeyman Electrician (or 3rd & 4th Year Apprentice)

Our Division at Manning Forest Products is currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Electrician. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be a key player in the company-wide continuous improvement effort by using troubleshooting, predictive, and preventive maintenance strategies daily. You'll Do: * Maintain a safe work environment * Ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment in the sawmill * Verify and document repairs * Monitor product quality and provide feedback * Use of RsLogix programing software (5,500,5000) * Preventative maintenance and small construction projects * Troubleshooting for various pieces of equipment, with other trades * Shift is 7 days on/7 days off: rotating day shift and night shift You have: * Several years of experience as an Electrician * A valid Journeyperson Certification is required * Strong organizational and communication skills * Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills * Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills * An understanding of Process Controls and Instrumentation, including but not limited to electric over pneumatic, or hydraulic * 4th year Apprentices are encouraged to apply Considered a strong asset: * Previous experience working in a sawmill or an industrial environment Compensation Package: * Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, and vacation. Maintain and ensure the consistent operation of all electrical equipment in the sawmill using troubleshooting and preventive maintenance strategies. Responsibilities include documenting repairs, monitoring product quality, and executing small construction projects.

Requires a valid Journeyperson Certification or status as a 4th year Apprentice with several years of experience as an electrician. Candidates must have strong organizational skills and an understanding of process controls and instrumentation.
