POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Catering Sales Manager Reports to(Title): Director of Sales & Marketing Department: Sales & Marketing Location: The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue through effective management of catering sales. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Execution: * Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for catering events. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships. * Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that effectively showcase our hotel's group and catering offerings. Client Relationship Management: * Cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and industry influencers. * Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and exceeded. * Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to showcase the hotel's facilities and services. Event Planning and Coordination: * Work closely with the events and catering teams to plan and execute successful events. * Oversee the coordination of catering logistics, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction. * Provide guidance on event design, menu selection, and other details to meet client expectations. Financial Management: * Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed. Market Analysis and Competitor Research: * Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. * Utilize market insights to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is an asset. Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on group bookings and catering events. Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, market dynamics, and customer behavior. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
