We’re hiring hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Overnight Dishwashers / Stewards to join the teams at The Victor, Honey Salt, and D/6 Bar & Lounge at Parq Casino. As an Overnight Dishwasher, you will play an essential role in keeping our kitchens and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and ready for the next day of service. This is an important behind-the-scenes position in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, where attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork are key. Working under the direction of the Executive Chief Steward, this position is responsible for completing nightly cleaning and stewarding duties while following all company, facility, health, and safety policies and procedures. The Overnight Dishwasher / Steward plays an important role in ensuring that kitchen equipment, dishware, work areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, safe, and prepared for the following day’s operations. This position requires the ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Overnight Dishwasher / Steward is responsible for: * The breakdown, loading, unloading, washing, and sorting of all dishes, glassware, flatware, kitchen equipment, and other service items * Washing, sorting, and cleaning items according to facility and Vancouver Coastal Health standards * Completing nightly cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas * Sorting, stacking, and storing clean items in an organized and safe manner * Ensuring all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and properly reported * Cleaning and maintaining floors, drains, work areas, equipment, and designated back-of-house spaces * Transporting garbage, recycling, and other waste from kitchen areas to designated disposal areas * Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times * Ensuring assigned overnight cleaning duties are completed to the required standards * Reporting any maintenance, equipment, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate supervisor * Following all company, facility, health, and safety policies and procedures * Performing all other duties as assigned by the Executive Chief Steward or their designated representative QUALIFICATIONS The Overnight Dishwasher / Steward must: * Be available and comfortable working overnight shifts * Have the ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness * Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Have knowledge of health and safety regulations * Have a valid FoodSafe Level 1 Certificate * Have the ability to obtain and maintain a GPEB licence if necessary * Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and stoop repeatedly * Be able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds * Previous experience in a similar dishwasher, stewarding, cleaning, or kitchen support role is an asset WHAT YOU BRING * A strong work ethic and positive attitude * Pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to high sanitation standards * The ability to work efficiently and independently during overnight hours * Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility * A team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills * The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the team

The Overnight Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of kitchen and back-of-house areas during overnight operations. This includes washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and ensuring all work spaces are prepared for the following day.

Candidates must be available for overnight shifts and possess a valid FoodSafe Level 1 Certificate. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 44 pounds in a fast-paced environment.
