Weyerhaeuser Company is currently recruiting for an immediate opening for Journeyman Electrician at our OSB facility located in Edson, AB. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic & a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. Starting rate of pay is $51.97 per hour. Shift Rotations are 12-hour shifts, 4 on/4 off; or, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, or Tuesday-Friday. Key Functions: * Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including power distribution and motor control systems (240 – 5KV), PLCs (mostly Allen-Bradley PLC-5s and Controllogix), Motion controllers (mostly Temposonic), Adjustable Frequency drives (A/B-Rockwell PowerFlex) and Process control equipment including HMIs. * Provide PLC programming support (troubleshooting and upgrading); run conduit and wire/rewire systems. * Assist in performing Millwright work as needed including metal fabrication, mechanical drives repair, preventive maintenance inspections and lubrication * Manage the electrical systems in the manufacturing facility. * Install, repair, and troubleshoot all electrical systems in the operation. * Effectively maintain communications with maintenance personnel and supervisors to safely and efficiently perform mill maintenance duties both reactive and preventive. * Assist with basic mechanical maintenance functions as needed. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Valid Journeyman Electrician certification. * Experience in Industrial Maintenance. * Experience troubleshooting and programming with Allen Bradley PLCs. * Experience troubleshooting and programming VFDs (Preferably Allen Bradley). * Experience troubleshooting and set-up of DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP networks. * Troubleshooting motors and motor starter controls. * Ownership and commitment to safety and risk assessment. * Instrumentation experience is an asset but not required. * This is a safety-sensitive position; candidates must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
