Purpose of the role The purpose of the Event & Celebration Squad Volunteer role is to bring joy, excitement, and a sense of community to residents by helping create memorable events, special occasions, and festive experiences. Volunteers play a key part in transforming everyday moments into celebrations through creativity, enthusiasm, and genuine connection. Key responsibilities * Help plan and prepare for events and celebrations, contributing ideas, themes, and creative touches that bring occasions to life. * Assist with decorating event spaces, creating vibrant, welcoming, and festive environments residents can enjoy. * Support the setup and pack‑down of activities, ensuring events run smoothly and the space stays safe and organised. * Engage with residents during celebrations, offering warm conversation, encouragement, and inclusive participation. * Help facilitate event activities, such as games, performances, themed days, or special cultural celebrations.
