In this role, you will work closely with the Operators and Foreman to interpret and follow project blueprints and specifications, ensuring proper grades are achieved throughout the project. Your days will be filled with exciting challenges as you: Perform grades and layout measurements to ensure accurate project implementation using a level and tape method Measure and mark quantities of materials Provide accurate cut and fill directions Monitor and check grade elevations throughout the day to ensure project specifications are met Maintain a clean and organized worksite and assist with traffic control as needed Champion safety practices while fostering a positive team environment Maintain accurate daily records and site notes as required We put our people first and believe that each member of our team plays an essential role in our success. Join us and be part of our exciting journey! 3–5 years’ experience in civil construction with a strong focus on grade checking Experience as a Gradesperson or in a similar role in the construction industry Strong knowledge of grading procedures and earthworks Proficient in using surveying equipment and tools an asset Strong math skills and ability to accurately utilize on-the-fly Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Committed to safety and quality in every aspect of work Strong communication and collaboration skills Capable of working independently and as part of a team A valid driver's license and reliable transportation Competitive wages with overtime pay.
