Job Description The Department of Paediatrics is seeking a full-time associate paediatric cardiologist to provide effective paediatric cardiology services at both hospital sites. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. Successful applicants are expected to have an academic appointment at Toronto Metropolitan School of Medicine. Accountabilities: Share in the reporting and interpretation of all paediatric diagnostic cardiology including EKG, Holter monitoring and echocardiography Provide clinic based paediatric cardiology consultations to paediatricians and family physicians in the Osler catchment area Urgent paediatric cardiology consultations will be provided to the on-call paediatricians in the NICU and the inpatient Paediatric Unit About the program Osler offers state-of-the-art paediatric diagnostic cardiac services and this is an exciting opportunity to work in the Greater Toronto Area in a large volume regional paediatric centre. Osler is a designated Regional Maternal Newborn and Paediatric Centre with an Advanced Level 2C NICU. Inpatient beds are comprised of 39 NICU beds and 26 inpatient paediatric beds. Qualifications Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Hold a Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and/or American Academy of Pediatrics Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population) Additional Information Osler is a primary clinical partner for Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine and is an academic community partner with the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine and McMaster’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Successful applicants are required to participate in academic activities, which may include teaching, research, or quality improvement initiatives. If the applicant does not currently hold an academic appointment with a medical school affiliated with the hospital, they must submit an application for a faculty appointment within three (3) months of their hospital appointment. An academic appointment at the Toronto Metropolitan School of Medicine is also required.
