Accountant Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid) $85K –$95K+ Benefits 12-Month Contract We are partnering with an investment firm to recruit an Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to investment accounting within a highly professional environment while enjoying excellent work-life balance, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced accounting team. Key Responsibilities Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close. Prepare bank reconciliations, working papers, financial statements, and adjusting entries. Record and reconcile investment transactions across public and private investments. Prepare intercompany invoices and maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities. Account for foreign currency transactions and recognize foreign exchange gains and losses. Prepare supporting schedules for tax compliance, audits, and management reporting. Reconcile corporate credit card expenses and review employee expense reports. Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Approximately 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience. CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA is considered an asset. Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Strong knowledge of ASPE (US GAAP or IFRS is an asset). Experience with Sage 300 or a comparable ERP system. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and Pivot Tables. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
