POSITION SUMMARY The Emergency Project Manager is responsible for leading all emergency mitigation efforts from first response through stabilization and turnover. This role serves as the on-site authority, ensuring rapid control of loss, execution of drying and containment strategies, and disciplined crew leadership. This position is critical in protecting early-stage margin by eliminating rework, enforcing standards, and delivering accurate, complete documentation. The Emergency Project Manager operates in high-pressure environments and must balance speed with precision, ensuring safety, compliance, and client confidence at every stage. Success in this role is defined by the ability to stabilize chaotic environments, lead teams with discipline, and deliver clean, audit-ready project turnover that sets the reconstruction phase up for success. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Emergency sites are stabilized quickly with clear control, containment, and execution Moisture mapping and drying strategies are accurate, efficient, and standards-based Crews operate with discipline, follow direction, and meet performance expectations Documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready every time Clients feel confident, informed, and supported during high-stress situations Safety standards are followed without exception across all job sites Projects transition cleanly to reconstruction with no gaps or rework required Margin is protected through strong decision-making and elimination of waste Communication across teams is clear, consistent, and proactive Performance targets are met or exceeded on a quarterly basis Issues are identified early and resolved quickly without escalation Work is completed right the first time, no shortcuts, no corrections needed PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES Establish immediate site control within defined response timeframes upon project assignment Execute accurate moisture mapping and implement standards-based drying plans Lead and direct crews to ensure efficient, compliant mitigation execution Maintain strict containment protocols to prevent cross-contamination and secondary damage Deliver complete, accurate, and timely daily documentation for all projects Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during emergency situations Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements Prevent margin erosion by eliminating rework, waste, and operational drift Maintain project scope clarity and ensure seamless turnover to reconstruction teams Achieve audit-ready documentation on all projects to support compliance and incentives Drive team accountability to meet performance, quality, and timeline expectations Meet or exceed quarterly performance targets tied to gross profit and operational metrics CORE COMPETENCIES Emergency Response Leadership – Ability to take control of high-pressure, time-sensitive situations Decision-Making Under Pressure – Makes fast, accurate decisions with limited information Technical Mitigation Expertise – Strong understanding of moisture mapping, drying systems, and restoration standards Crew Leadership & Accountability – Leads teams with clarity, discipline, and performance expectations Documentation Discipline – Produces consistent, accurate, and audit-ready records Operational Execution – Drives projects forward with precision, efficiency, and structure Safety Awareness & Compliance – Maintains strict adherence to safety protocols and standards Client Communication – Communicates calmly, professionally, and effectively in crisis environments Quality Control Mindset – Ensures no shortcuts; maintains high standards of work at all times Time & Priority Management – Balances multiple active projects with urgency and organization Problem Solving – Identifies issues early and implements effective solutions Results Orientation – Focused on outcomes, margin protection, and performance metrics EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 3+ years of experience in mitigation, restoration, or emergency response leadership roles Proven experience leading crews in high-pressure environments Strong knowledge of moisture mapping and drying standards IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, or equivalent) preferred Demonstrated experience in documentation systems and reporting standards Valid driver’s license required Must be bondable (mandatory requirement) COMPENSATION STRUCTURE Base Salary: $75,000 On-Target Earnings: $100,000–$120,000+ Incentives: Quarterly, performance-based (aligned to gross profit, documentation compliance, and team results) Benefits: Health Benefits, RRSP Matching PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, and work on job sites for extended periods Comfortable working in confined spaces, varying environmental conditions, and active job sites Ability to respond to emergency calls, including after-hours or irregular schedules Must be able to operate company vehicles and travel between job sites Execute accurate moisture mapping and implement standards-based drying plans Lead and direct crews to ensure efficient, compliant mitigation execution Maintain strict containment protocols to prevent cross-contamination and secondary damage Deliver complete, accurate, and timely daily documentation for all projects Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during emergency situations Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements Prevent margin erosion by eliminating rework, waste, and operational drift Maintain project scope clarity and ensure seamless turnover to reconstruction teams Achieve audit-ready documentation on all projects to support compliance and incentives Drive team accountability to meet performance, quality, and timeline expectations Meet or exceed quarterly performance targets tied to gross profit and operational metrics #WMRG Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental care Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Work Location: In person
