Applicants must reside and be legally eligible to work in Ontario. This is a Temporary Full-Time position, up to 1 year (New Position!) The Centre for Digital Health Evaluation (CDHE) at Women’s College Hospital Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV) aims to improve health by working to develop, implement and evaluate innovations in clinical care and policy. Our philosophy is to engage and collaborate with all players in health care to deliver tangible solutions that improve the health system as a whole. Summary of Duties, but not limited to: Coordinate the on-going evaluation of the Health Canada Evaluating Virtual Models of Primary Care Delivery for Priority Groups in Canada Evaluation and Ministry of Health Projects Coordinate with research teams to collect qualitative interview data; analyze data using qualitative software as per study protocol Acts as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research staff and as the primary operational liaison for internal and external collaborators working with the unit (e.g. other research organizations, funding agencies, regulating bodies, etc.) Proactively identifies barriers/threats/risks for project completion and work with team members including Investigators and Research Assistants to develop solutions Prompt relevant team members to stay on task, and work to complete assigned tasks, in advance of deadlines Facilitate meetings including developing agendas, running meetings and taking minutes Proactively identify barriers/threats/risks for project completion and work with team members to develop solutions Compile relevant documents and forms for approval by management including: invoice templates, purchasing/procurement requisitions, and project status reports Liaise with research sites, stakeholders, clinical advisors, patient partners, and WCH staff in furtherance of research objectives Coordinate necessary data flow between internal and external collaborators Coordinate with WCH Research Ethics to determine appropriate practices for the CDHE’s unique projects and research designs; submit and maintain ethics applications both internally as well as submissions to external organizations and track approvals Assist in protocol development and grant development Conduct and synthesize literature reviews for academic publications, grant proposals, and public dissemination Apply theoretical frameworks when analyzing qualitative data in accordance with study protocol Collaborate with team members to write and edit presentations, reports, proposals, and publications Represent the CDHE and WIHV at conferences and external stakeholder meetings; present results of research at public forums As a role model and champion, you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into policy. Qualifications/Skills: Undergraduate degree in health sciences, public health and/or other health-related discipline, Master’s preferred Three (3) to five (5) years’ progressively responsible and related experience working in a research environment Experience coordinating between multiple agencies in policy or research settings Experience with health sciences research and research ethics (REB) process Knowledge and proficiency with the MS Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and data collection and analysis software Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Knowledge of planning and management processes for research (e.g., experience with the ethics approval process, federal granting agency guidelines, etc.) Strong multi-tasking, time management, project management and problem-solving skills Ability to work well under pressure with strong judgment and decision-making skills Ability to work with minimal supervision; highly independent Demonstrated interest in health system solutions and health care delivery innovations.
