Wood is currently accepting applications for Instrumentation Technician Journeyperson - Adhoc personnel with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This role will be located offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. This will be a casual call-out role. The successful candidate will be willing and eligible to travel Offshore via helicopter or supply vessel. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing the measuring and control devices (electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic) used in industrial processing. You will also be expected to read, understand, and follow drawings and specifications. Along with the use of power, pneumatic, electronic and hand tools. You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions. Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures. The Role Location: Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador Site / Office based: Hibernia Platform Hours of work: 12 hours per day Rotation / work pattern: Call out, as needed Required: Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing Unionized position: Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions.
