About The Role Wood Automotive Group is looking for a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team. We are seeking an experienced technician with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics. While experience with Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler (Stellantis) vehicles is highly preferred, we welcome applications from technicians with experience across all automotive brands who are eager to learn and grow within our dealership. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, and is committed to providing an exceptional customer experience. Experience in electrical diagnostics, drivability concerns, engine and transmission repairs is a strong asset. Responsibilities (include But Are Not Limited To) Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles according to manufacturer specifications. Perform electrical, drivability, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and diagnostics and repairs. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards. Road test vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure repairs are completed correctly. Perform routine maintenance, AMVIC inspections, out-of-province inspections, and safety inspections. Utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles. Communicate diagnostic findings and recommended repairs with the Service Advisor. Identify and recommend additional maintenance or repairs when appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly caring for shop equipment and tools. Requirements Journeyman Automotive Technician Certificate. Strong automotive diagnostic and repair experience. Experience with Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler (Stellantis) vehicles is preferred; however, we encourage applications from technicians with experience working on all makes and models. Experience with Stellantis diagnostic software (wiTECH) and manufacturer training is an asset. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, particularly in electrical and drivability systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dealership environment. Valid Alberta Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
