Wood is recruiting a Rope Access Technician (Abseiler)- Offshore Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis. The Role * Location: Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador * Site / Office based: Hibernia * Hours of work: 12 hours per day * Rotation / work pattern: Call out, as needed * Required: Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing * Unionized position: Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions. Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures. The Rope Access Technician will perform maintenance and operational tasks at heights and in confined spaces within the offshore oil and gas sector. The role involves working on a call-out basis, adhering to strict safety protocols and industry-standard reporting requirements.

Candidates must hold valid IRATA rope access certification and various offshore safety training credentials including BST, H2S, and fall protection. The role requires the physical ability to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures and the capacity to pass site-specific medical and drug testing.
