JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Director, Content & Social Media, the Sr. Manager, Content Distribution is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of how the company’s content is distributed across owned and third‑party channels. With a strong focus on audience growth and engagement, this role seeks to amplify Woodbine’s stories and content across media platforms and partnerships. This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, media relations, and audience development — responsible for expanding the reach and impact of our racing, wagering, lifestyle, and brand content through owned and external channels. KEY RESPONSIBILITES * Develop and execute Woodbine’s content distribution strategy across owned, earned, and paid media channels. * Identify and build relationships with media outlets, sports networks, digital publishers, influencers, and content aggregators to expand content reach and brand visibility. * Target distinct audience segments (ie. core racing and wagering fans, casual sports betting audiences, lifestyle consumers) by tailoring content development and distribution strategies to reach the right people, in the right place, at the right time * Negotiate and manage content partnerships — including syndication, licensing, and co-publishing opportunities. * Collaborate closely with internal teams (Content Production, Creative, and Communications) to align storytelling and ensure content is optimized for external audiences. * Monitor and report on distribution performance, using analytics and audience insights to refine strategies and maximize impact. * Stay on top of emerging media trends, platforms, and distribution technologies to keep Woodbine’s content strategy innovative and competitive. * Support the promotion of live events and marquee races by coordinating with broadcast and streaming partners for content placement and amplification. QUALIFICATIONS * 6–8 years of experience in content distribution, media partnerships, or digital marketing — ideally within horseracing, sports, entertainment, or media industries. * Strong network and understanding of Canadian media landscape * Proven experience building and managing strategic content partnerships. * Deep understanding of content formats (video, social, editorial) and how to tailor them for different platforms and audience segments. * Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to evaluate content performance. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. * Passion for horse racing, sports, storytelling, and connecting audiences to compelling content experiences. Reason for Vacancy: New Role Salary: The target hiring salary range for this position is $102,000 - $110,000. This range is not a guarantee of compensation. Final placement within the range depends on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
