Second Class Power Engineer Location: Cold Lake, Alberta Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off Rotation, 12-Hour Shifts Compensation: $85.00/hour + 2 weeks' annual vacation + Benefits Employment Type: Employee or Contractor Positions Available: 6 About the Opportunity WSG is recruiting six Second Class Power Engineers to provide 24/7 operational support for a major industrial facility in Cold Lake. Successful candidates will work within a team supporting safe and reliable plant operations across day and night shifts. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, and related equipment. Perform routine inspections and operational checks. Respond to operational issues and equipment alarms. Complete operating logs and regulatory documentation. Coordinate with maintenance personnel and operational leadership. Participate in shutdowns, startups, and troubleshooting activities. Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental standards. Qualifications Valid Second Class Power Engineering Certificate. Experience in industrial steam and boiler operations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence. Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule. Additional Information Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in or willing to relocate to Cold Lake. No travel, accommodations, LOA, or relocation assistance provided.
