French Program Instructor – Part-Time | GTA Daycares

Who We Are Little X, by X Movement, brings connection-based social-emotional programming into daycare centers across the GTA — for infants, toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten-aged children. We're hiring for our long-standing French-language partner sites, delivering our full Little X programming entirely in French. Who You Are You're fluent in French and comfortable delivering our Little X curriculum — connection, coping skills, social-emotional play — entirely in French for a French-speaking classroom. You bring the same warmth and presence as any Little X Inspirer; the only difference is the language it's delivered in. You're also comfortable communicating in English with our internal team. ***MUST HAVE Vulnerable Sector Check on hand. Cannot wait for the application process. Required Skills & Experience ✅ Fluent, conversational French — able to teach and engage children and instructors entirely in French ✅ Fluent English — for internal team communication ✅ Experience with infants, toddlers, preschool, and/or kindergarten-aged children ✅ Comfortable leading small-group, play-based social-emotional activities ✅ Driver's license & reliable transportation ✅ Reliability — daycares run on tight staff-to-child ratios, so punctuality is essential ✅ Ability to commit to full 8-12 week contracts throughout the year ✅ Availability 2–3 days per week, roughly 15 hours total across those days ✅ Vulnerable Sector Check on hand ✅ Genuine comfort with and interest in early childhood development Assets ✨ ECE diploma/certification, or coursework in progress ✨ Experience with neurodiverse children ✨ Background in infant/toddler care, family childcare, or early intervention ✨ Prior experience in a French-immersion or bilingual classroom setting Job Details 📌 Hiring for 2 positions 📌 Part-time — 2–3 days per week, ~15 hours total across those days 📌 Pay: $25–$30/hr 📌 In-person at our long-standing French-language partner site(s) in the GTA 📌 Vulnerable Sector Check required upon hire 📌 Full training in our program provided X Movement is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other protected ground.
