With 1000+ 5-star reviews, we?re proud to be Ottawa?s most trusted name in the industry. *Position Summary:* We are hiring a well-rounded *Small Engines Mechanic* with experience in variety of small engines and equipment. You?ll be responsible for servicing a range of machines including snowblowers, chainsaws, mowers, etc. *Key Responsibilities:* *Repairs & Maintenance* * Diagnose and fix issues in small engine machinery (2-stroke, 4-stroke, carburetors, etc.) * Complete seasonal maintenance for equipment such as snowblowers, lawn tractors, chainsaws, and trimmers * Use technical resources to troubleshoot efficiently and accurately * PDI of new equipment *Battery & Electric Equipment* * Maintain and repair lithium-ion battery tools and robotic mowing systems * Perform firmware updates, test battery health, and ensure electronics function properly * Stay informed on emerging battery innovations and apply best practices *Shop Operations & Documentation* * Keep clear records of completed jobs and parts used * Follow manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, and internal procedures * Communicate effectively with service team and stay aligned on job priorities *What We?re Looking For:* * At least 2 years? experience working with small engines or comparable mechanical systems * Familiarity with electric equipment, battery diagnostics, and motors is a strong asset * Confident with tools, diagrams, and diagnostic software * Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team * Valid driver?s license (for occasional field service calls) * Enthusiastic about learning and staying current with new technologies *Physical Requirements:* * Able to lift up to 50 lbs * Comfortable working in shop and outdoor conditions year-round * Can bend, crouch, and stand for extended periods *Why Work With Us?* * Be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team * Growth and development opportunities * Competitive compensation *Ready to Join the Team?* If you?re passionate about machines ? from the traditional to the high-tech ? and want to work with Ottawa?s top-rated team in outdoor power, we?d love to connect with you.
