Date Posted: August 20, 2026 Position Title: Childminding and Recreation Staff Location: Prince George Family YMCA (2020 Massey Drive, Prince George) Term: Part-Time Permanent Hours: 8-24 hours per week Shift: Shifts vary but will include weekdays, evenings and weekends. We believe in putting people first, with 5-Star YMCA Services, and creating environments that are caring, welcoming and fun Major Responsibilities- in this position, you will: * CM and Rec staff will be responsible for the care, safety and well-being of multiple children of children ages 3 months to 8 years old * Build a positive relationship that encourages participant’s growth and development * Ensuring YMCA experiences are friendly and welcoming * Attends staff meeting, planning sessions and training events as required * Other related duties as directed by supervisor Qualifications-you bring: * Current Emergency First Aid with CPR-C & AED certificate * Efficient, highly organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker looking to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer service orientation * Experience in a recreation centre an asset * Access to reliable transit or a vehicle * Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date * Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references About YMCA BC: By igniting belonging and championing health equity, YMCA BC strengthens the foundations of community.
