For more information, visit our Arabic website, www.msf-me.org Médecins Sans Frontières Belgium mission in Yemen is recruiting 1 Mobile Clinic Pharmacy Assistant. Other suitable candidates may be considered for inclusion in a pool of casual workers. Location: Based in Aden, with regular deployment to PHCCs and mobile/outreach activities across Aden and Lahj Governorates, with possible mobility to other project locations depending on operational needs and applicable MSF policies Contract duration: Six (6) months, with the possibility of extension Contract type: Fixed-Term contract Reporting to: Mobile Health Activity Manager Main Purpose Performing the pharmacy activities of the mobile clinics including dispensing medication for patients, stock monitoring and stock management. Ensuring the proper general functioning of the mobile clinic pharmacy and the supply for the daily mobile clinics’ activities, according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures to keep pharmacy stock above security level. Accountabilities Maintaining the adequacy of storage and hygiene conditions of the mobile clinic’s medications and medical items according to MSF protocols. Participating in physical inventories and organization of stock according to MSF recommended storage guidelines. Participating in preparing orders and receiving from the intermediary pharmacy. If working as a dispenser, verify with prescriber in case of unclear prescription or difference from standard protocols, and that patients are counselled appropriately regarding their prescribed treatments Participating in the reception of supplies Ensuring that no material is received without authorization and that the security regulations of the pharmacy are respected. Reporting immediately in case of robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines. Taking actions to avoid or prevent the robberies and damages on the equipment. Updating stock cards and informing the line manager as soon as an item reaches the minimum or maximum threshold or is about to expired Dispense medications for patients during the daily mobile clinic’s activities. Document the daily consumption of medications and medical items during the mobile clinic’s daily activities in the consumption tally sheet. Document the mobile clinics’ weekly consumption of medications and medical items in the pharmacy order sheet. Conduct theoretical inventory and stock levels monitoring on a weekly basis. Reporting the weekly updated stock levels to the line manager and highlighting any overconsumption, near to rupture, and/or near to expire items. Conduct and document monthly physical inventory of the mobile clinic’s stock. Place monthly order from the intermediary pharmacy with the medications and medical items needed for the mobile clinic’s activities. Coordinate with the intermediary pharmacy and the central medical warehouse according to the needs of the mobile clinic. Participate in weekly mobile health team meetings and discussions. Education & Experience Literacy and numeracy. Medical profile not essential but recommended. Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy studies is required. Experience in similar positions would be an asset Languages Minimum English level: B1 (mandatory)
