Intern Analyst - Commercial Real Estate

Role Description The Intern Analyst – Commercial Real Estate role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The intern will support underwriting and financial analysis for office and retail properties, including building and maintaining financial models, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with due diligence on potential acquisitions or leasing transactions, gathering market data, and preparing summary reports and presentation materials. The intern will help review lease terms, tenant information, and property performance metrics, and contribute to internal memos and recommendations for investments and asset management decisions. The role also involves collaborating with senior team members, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting ad hoc analytical projects. Qualifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data. Proficiency in Finance and Financial Modeling, including Excel-based models and basic valuation techniques. Experience or coursework in Underwriting and Due Diligence for commercial real estate or related assets. Interest in commercial real estate markets and asset management, with willingness to learn and take initiative. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work on-site in the Greater Toronto Area and collaborate in a small team environment. Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field. Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exposure to real estate or financial software is an asset.
