Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Childcare Worker role based in Toronto, ON, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as planning and documentation. On-site responsibilities include supervising children in group settings, supporting daily routines, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. The Childcare Worker will assist with age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, help with meals and transitions, and maintain clean, organized spaces. The role involves collaborating with families and team members, documenting observations, and contributing to program planning. Occasional support with events and family engagement activities will also be part of the day-to-day work. Qualifications Experience in childcare and working with children in group or early learning settings. Skills in training and mentoring children in social, emotional, and basic educational activities. Background or familiarity with social services and community support resources. Ability to assist with event planning for family engagement, special activities, and center events. Relevant education such as Early Childhood Education diploma, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of health and safety standards, including child safeguarding and emergency procedures. Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues. Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, with some tasks performed remotely as needed. Current first aid/CPR certification and background checks required according to local regulations.
