The opportunity: The Wellness Center Host is responsible for ensuring a safe environment and delivering quality, values based health and wellness programming and services in the wellness centre. In this role, you will: Demonstrate strong support and commitment to the mission and core values of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and the YMCA in Canada. Demonstrate strong support and commitment to serving the membership, facility users and all program participants of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. Adhere to all provincial and federal legislation relevant to job description. Build and maintain relationships with members and participants through deliberate dialogue and interaction. Be visible and approachable while on duty in program and service delivery. Maintain a strong presence and engage in on-floor health education, fitness leadership and individual conditioning. Deliver service friendly fitness programming. Monitor and maintain high quality instruction and customer service, adhering to YMCA Y-Way Standards and best practices. Actively work towards maintaining a neat, clean, safe and well organized area at all times. The Wellness Centre Host is responsible for ensuring a safe environment and delivering quality health and wellness programming. They must maintain a visible presence on the floor to engage with members, provide fitness leadership, and ensure the facility remains clean and organized.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold Standard First Aid and CPR C certifications. A willingness to complete mandatory training, including AODA, Health & Safety, and Child Safeguarding, is required.
