Title: Manual Test Analyst - Fulltime Location: Vancouver, BC - Onsite(Locals) Key Responsibilities: Test strategy and test plan development for new products and features Test case authoring and maintenance (add new cases, edit existing ones for accuracy) Test run creation/assignment Bug review, de-duplication, and triage — prevent randomization of engineering teams by identifying duplicates, requesting clarification, and ensuring bugs adhere to reporting standards Test status reporting Cross-functional interactions and feature bring-up with engineers Software and hardware bug investigation and reporting Bug fix verification Targeted ad-hoc testing of undocumented areas Review of bug reports from other team members Identify test and process gaps and raise them to Quality leadership Onboarding and mentoring more junior team members Clear verbal and written communication, including team group posts to share test status and provide clarity on defect reports Must-Have Skills Test Case Execution Ability to follow and execute established test cases accurately and thoroughly Bug Reporting Clear, concise defect documentation with reproducible steps, expected vs. actual results SDLC Understanding Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA's role within it Bug-Tracking Tools Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Mantis Command Line Proficiency Basic ability to navigate and operate via command line interfaces Process Adherence Ability to follow established test processes, frameworks, and team standards Communication Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team coordination Hardware/Software Basics Basic knowledge of hardware-software interaction relevant to device testing Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field + 3–5 years QA experience, OR Bachelor's in any field + 6+ years QA experience
