Zābo Law works closely with clients to streamline legal processes, reduce risk, and enable confident decision-making for their organizations. Role Description The Legal Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Prince Edward County, ON. This role oversees day-to-day operational management of the firm, including organizing workflows, managing matter lifecycles, and maintaining internal policies and procedures. The Legal Operations Manager will coordinate scheduling, support resource planning, and track key performance metrics to ensure efficient delivery of legal services. Responsibilities include optimizing document management and contract processes, supporting billing and invoicing activities, and leveraging technology tools to improve collaboration. The role also involves partnering with attorneys and staff to identify operational improvements, manage vendor relationships, and support compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards. Qualifications Strong legal operations and office management skills, including workflow design, process optimization, and matter tracking. Experience with contract management, document organization, and basic familiarity with business law concepts (partnerships, employment, IP, and commercial contracts). Proficiency with legal practice management software, productivity tools, and data tracking or reporting for operational performance. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients. Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical thinking, and comfort making decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a law firm, professional services, or corporate legal department is an asset. Post-secondary education in business, law, administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
