DevOps Lead

DevOps Lead Location – Markham, ON (Hybrid – Mon, Tue, Wed) Role Summary: Experienced DevOps Lead responsible for CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, release management, and operational reliability while working closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities Lead DevOps strategy, automation roadmap, and platform engineering practices. Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for build, test, deployment, and release automation. Implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments and ensure environment stability. Drive monitoring, incident management, RCA, security, compliance, and reliability improvements. Mentor DevOps engineers and collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams. Required Skills Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools. Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform/Ansible, and Bash or Python scripting. Good understanding of networking, system administration, observability, and release management. Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field. 8+ of IT experience, including 4+ in DevOps/cloud/platform engineering. Experience leading DevOps teams or enterprise automation initiatives. Relevant AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps certifications preferred.

Lead the DevOps strategy and platform engineering practices, focusing on CI/CD automation and cloud infrastructure management. Responsible for ensuring operational reliability through monitoring, incident management, and mentoring DevOps engineers.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and over 8 years of IT experience, with at least 4 years specializing in DevOps or cloud engineering. Must have hands-on expertise with containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and major cloud platforms.
