Résumé du poste
Building on Strength. Leading What's Next. ABCO Industries Inc. (ABCO) is a diversified custom turnkey engineering and manufacturing company delivering solutions across the marine, industrial, environmental, and food processing sectors. Operating from a 50,000 sq. ft. waterfront facility in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, ABCO has spent more than 75 years building a reputation for quality craftsmanship, technical expertise, and customer-focused execution. Through a unique combination of engineering, fabrication, integration, and project delivery capabilities, ABCO serves clients locally and internationally; their projects are in over 60 countries worldwide, providing solutions designed for performance, reliability, and long-term value. Since acquiring the business in 2018, the ownership team has built upon that strong foundation through significant investments in infrastructure, capabilities, and long-term growth initiatives. Today, ABCO is a profitable and growing organization with approximately 60 employees, a highly experienced leadership team, and increasing momentum within Canada's marine sector, where substantial government investment continues to create opportunity. The Opportunity With a strong foundation, respected reputation, and growing market presence, ABCO is now seeking its next Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the ownership group, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s portfolio of marine, food processing, industrial, and environmental business lines. Building on decades of success, the CEO will guide ABCO through its next phase of growth, innovation, and value creation. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to advance growth objectives, strengthen operational performance, and position the organization to capitalize on emerging opportunities. Areas of focus include expanding marine offerings, pursuing larger and more complex vessel projects, growing vessel refit and life-extension capabilities, broadening participation in municipal and wastewater infrastructure markets, cultivating strategic partnerships, and leveraging technology and process improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness. Ideal Candidate Profile As the ideal candidate, you are an accomplished executive with experience leading within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, marine, or other technically complex project-based operating environments. You bring a track record of driving growth, improving performance, and balancing strategic opportunities with operational realities. Any experience in custom manufacturing environments would be considered an asset. A humble, authentic, and highly relational leader, you build credibility through visibility, trust, and engagement at all levels of an organization. Comfortable in both the boardroom and the shop floor, you possess the business acumen, operational judgment, and leadership skills required to guide ABCO through its next chapter while building upon a legacy of which employees, customers, and ownership are proud. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to receive appropriate level of security assessment/clearance for Contract Security Program or Controlled Goods Program.
