Résumé du poste
About Us We are a well-established plastic card manufacturer producing secure cards for financial, commercial, and government applications. Our products demand precision at every stage — from lamination and printing to chip embedding — and our production teams take pride in keeping things running reliably. We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and strengthen our maintenance function on-site. Position Overview This is a working lead role — ideal for a senior technician who is ready to step into leadership without leaving the shop floor behind. You will perform day-to-day maintenance while supervising and mentoring one electromechanical technician. Together, you will keep our production equipment running at peak performance, drive a culture of preventive maintenance, and own the general upkeep of our facility. Reports to: Plant / Operations Manager Key Responsibilities Equipment & Production Support * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment, including collators, laminators, die cutters, presses, and personalization machines * Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and root cause analysis for recurring issues * Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance work with minimal disruption to output Preventive Maintenance * Lead and execute the preventive maintenance program; ensure PMs are completed on schedule * Maintain accurate work records, parts inventory, and maintenance history within the system * Analyze maintenance data to identify failure trends and recommend improvements Team Leadership * Supervise and mentor one electromechanical technician; prioritize daily tasks and support shift coverage when needed * Provide technical guidance, hands-on coaching, and performance feedback Facility & Vendor Management * Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure * Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs; review and approve quotes to ensure cost-effective solutions Health, Safety & Compliance * Maintain a safe working environment and ensure full adherence to health and safety standards, OSHA regulations, and ISO 9001 requirements * Adhere to all company policies and procedures Qualifications Required * 5-8 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills — motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, pneumatics * Experience with CMMS systems and structured preventive maintenance programs * Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings * Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred * Millwright certification (433A or equivalent) * Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field * Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for reading and modifying technical drawings * Background in secure card, printing, or precision manufacturing environments Day-to-Day Examples Here’s a snapshot of what a typical week might look like in this role: * Diagnosing an intermittent drive fault on a laminator mid-run, coordinating a brief production pause, and resolving the issue before the next shift * Conducting a scheduled PM on a personalization machine — cleaning, inspecting wear parts, and logging findings in the CMMS * Reviewing a vendor quote for an HVAC repair, approving the scope, and coordinating site access with minimal disruption to the manufacturing floor * Walking the floor with your technician to inspect a recurring sensor issue on the die cutter, identifying the root cause, and documenting a fix to prevent recurrence * Ending the week by updating parts inventory, ordering critical spares, and preparing a brief status summary for the Plant Manager What Success Looks Like In the first 6–12 months, a successful Maintenance Supervisor will have: * Reduced unplanned downtime by strengthening the PM program and closing gaps in the maintenance schedule * Built a strong working relationship with production, operations, and leadership — seen as a reliable partner, not just a repair resource * Established clear task prioritization and brought structure to the technician’s daily workflow * Zero serious safety incidents, with a proactive approach to hazard identification and safety compliance * Identified at least one meaningful cost-saving or efficiency improvement through data analysis or process change What We Offer * Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage * Stable, full-time position in a specialized and growing sector of manufacturing * Direct influence over maintenance strategy in a lean, collaborative team environment * Support for ongoing professional development and certification * Safety-first culture with strong leadership backing If you’re a seasoned maintenance professional ready to lead — and still love getting your hands on the equipment — we’d love to hear from you.
