Job Description Host As a Host/Hostess with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention will provide a memorable first impression for guests of our restaurants and lounges, making them feel welcome and valued. Together, let’s turn moments into memories. What you will be doing: Provide warm greeting and welcome all guests to the restaurant Obtain dining information from guests, such as dietary restrictions or special occasions Coordinate the dining room's seating arrangements by planning ahead and anticipating fluctuations in business Seat guests in an organized fashion to maintain service flows for the Servers Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives Conduct frequent inspections of the outlet areas, reporting any deficiencies in equipment or aesthetics to the Outlet Manager Other duties as outlined by outlet Manager including coverage in other F&B outlets and Banquets Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives Carry out any other tasks as assigned Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Minimum 6 months food and beverage experience Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
