About The Role We are currently seeking two dedicated and skilled Automotive Technicians to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs with efficiency and a focus on quality workmanship. This role involves diagnosing vehicle malfunctions, conducting general and advanced repairs on various automotive systems, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The technicians will examine vehicles to identify additional safety or service needs, provide accurate labor and time estimates, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Road testing may also be required to ensure repairs are successful and vehicles operate optimally. Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with team members and customers. Qualifications Automotive Service Technician trade certificate is mandatory. Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements. Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques. Perform complex repairs on engine components, transmissions, electrical systems, and other automotive systems. Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify safety concerns and additional repair needs. Provide detailed labor and time estimates for repair work to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction. Test repaired systems through road tests and diagnostic equipment to confirm proper operation. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance performed. Adhere to safety standards and dealership policies to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in ongoing training sessions, including General Motors-specific training provided by Lakeside Chevrolet, to stay current with industry advancements and manufacturer requirements.
