Building Automation Systems Technician

Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to join our growing team based out of Winnipeg, MB. As a BAS Technician you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of PC fundamentals, PC Networking/LAN, basic electronic theory and Building Electrical/Mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department. * Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshooting and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems. * Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ainsworth Safe Work and H&S Policies. * Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings. * Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals * Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and Building System Integration. Qualifications: * Valid Driver’s license. * Fluent in English – both written and oral. * The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation. * Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program. * Fluent in Microsoft Office. * Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights. The technician will assist in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of building automation systems for commercial clients. Responsibilities include performing point-to-point verifications, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to safety and health policies.

Candidates must hold a post-secondary technical or engineering degree and possess a valid driver's license. Proficiency in English, Microsoft Office, and the ability to read construction plans and specifications are required.
