Your Opportunity: The General Internal Medicine Program at Sturgeon Community Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our collaborative healthcare team. Description: As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive health services, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients across their lifespan. They integrate clinical nursing and medical skills to manage patient health needs and influence healthcare system quality.

Candidates must have a Master's degree from an approved Nurse Practitioner program and active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP) certification is also required.
