Physics Masters – AI Training Specialist About The Role We're looking for Masters-level physicists to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models being developed by the world's leading AI research labs. Your deep understanding of physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems — making a tangible impact on the future of intelligent systems. No AI experience required. If you can think rigorously and communicate clearly, you're already qualified. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Fully Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week (flexible) What You'll Do Design challenging, original physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logical reasoning Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate through Masters-level physics topics Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps AI systems improve over time Who You Are Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field Strong problem-solving ability across advanced physics domains Able to break down complex concepts and communicate them clearly in writing Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating reasoning quality Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on an async schedule No prior AI or data annotation experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic research Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or large language models Background in tutoring, teaching, or writing physics content Why Join Us Work directly with industry-leading AI labs on problems that matter Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you High autonomy contractor role with real intellectual challenge Ongoing opportunities for contract renewal and expanded collaboration Contribute to meaningful work at the frontier of AI and science
