Job Requirements **Location:** Brantford, ON (On-site) **Contract Duration:** 12–18 months (extendable) **Hours per Week:** 40 (regular shifts) **Project Context** The Java Developer will support the on-site implementation of logistics technology for a major project in the logistics sector. The role involves deployment, testing, and system optimization, with a focus on warehouse automation. **Key Responsibilities** - Deploy, debug, and optimize the WCS system. - Conduct user training to ensure stable system operation. - Participate in requirement analysis and solution design. - Develop core modules using Java (SpringBoot, SpringMVC, MyBatis) and perform unit testing. - Resolve technical faults during implementation and provide on-site support. - Document implementation processes, operation manuals, and troubleshooting guides. - Liaise with clients and internal teams to sync requirement changes and technical issues. - Contribute to logistics scheduling algorithms to improve warehouse efficiency. **Candidate Requirements** **Must-Have Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Automation, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience with WCS systems or warehouse automation projects (e.g., AGVs, stacker cranes, conveyors). - Proficiency in Java (SpringBoot, SpringMVC, MyBatis). **Nice-to-Have Qualifications** - Bilingual in English and Chinese/Mandarin - Experience with MySQL, Linux, and basic electrical control systems (PLCs, sensors). **Soft Skills** - Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. - Willingness to adapt to on-site work rhythms. **Why Join Us?** ALTEN Canada fosters a dynamic, collaborative work environment where every team member is empowered to reach their full potential. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is **$80,000 -$100,000per year**.
