Location: Toronto, ON (Fully On-site) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Coverage from August 27th to September 3rd. Training: A few hours on August 27th. Language: Strong written and spoken English communication required Pay Rate: $25/hour. About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a polished and dependable Receptionist / Office Administrator to provide front-desk and general office support during planned vacation coverage and occasional employee absences. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a professional, welcoming, and organized office environment. From greeting visitors and managing incoming calls to preparing meeting rooms, coordinating couriers, and supporting day-to-day administrative needs, you’ll help ensure the office continues to run smoothly. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced administrative professional who enjoys being the first point of contact, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and can quickly step into a new environment with minimal direction. Your Responsibilities You’ll provide front-desk coverage, answer incoming calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate individuals You’ll greet employees, clients, vendors, and visitors while creating a warm and professional first impression You’ll prepare, organize, and reset meeting rooms before and after meetings You’ll help maintain organized and well-stocked kitchens, common areas, office supplies, and stationery You’ll sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail and courier shipments You’ll scan, organize, and upload documents into internal systems You’ll process incoming client cheques and coordinate their delivery to the Finance team You’ll provide general administrative and office support to employees and senior leadership as required You’ll handle confidential documents and information with professionalism and discretion Skills and Qualifications Previous experience in reception, office administration, administrative support, or a similar front-office role Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a warm, polished, and professional approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to work independently Comfortable learning new office systems and technology; experience with EPIC or another insurance management system is considered an asset Reliable and punctual with the ability to quickly adapt to new environments and changing priorities Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information Comfortable supporting a variety of day-to-day office needs in a hands-on capacity Note from the Hiring Manager “We’re looking for someone who can confidently step in and keep the front office running smoothly.
