Job#: 3046092 Job Description: Senior Analyst, Data & Insights / Data Product Owner Job Description Job Summary Reporting to the Director, Strategic Insights, the Data Product Owner will lead cross-functional analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives that support McKesson Specialty Health business lines. This role serves as a strategic partner to business, technology, operations, and leadership teams by translating complex business needs into scalable data products, actionable insights, and measurable business outcomes. This role combines product ownership, advanced analytics, machine learning, business intelligence, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will own the roadmap and lifecycle of analytics products, guide reporting and dashboard development, support predictive modeling and experimentation, and drive adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Data Product Ownership & Roadmap Management Define and manage the vision, roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle of analytics and data products. Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, KPIs, success measures, and delivery priorities. Lead cross-functional delivery across business stakeholders, analytics teams, technology partners, vendors, data governance, privacy, and operations. Drive product adoption, change management, documentation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement for reporting and analytical solutions. Ensure analytics products are scalable, reliable, business-aligned, and governed appropriately for a regulated healthcare environment. Advanced Analytics, Data Science & Experimentation Design, develop, validate, and monitor predictive models, machine learning solutions, and advanced analytical frameworks. Apply statistical methods, segmentation, forecasting, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing to evaluate business initiatives and interventions. Identify AI/ML opportunities and partner with appropriate teams to assess feasibility, business value, compliance needs, and implementation approach. Perform exploratory analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation, and performance monitoring to support explainable and actionable insights. Translate analytical findings into practical recommendations that improve operational performance, customer value, and decision quality. Reporting, Business Intelligence & Insight Delivery Design, develop, and manage dashboards, scorecards, recurring reports, and self-serve analytics products. Establish KPI frameworks, reporting standards, data definitions, and measurement methodologies across assigned business areas. Use SQL, Python, Snowflake, Salesforce, Azure, and BI tools to extract, transform, analyze, and visualize complex datasets. Create compelling data visualizations and executive-ready narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences. Support forecasting, operational planning, product demos, RFPs, business cases, and strategic decision-making through trusted analytics. Stakeholder Partnership & Analytics Leadership Act as a subject matter expert and strategic insights partner to senior leaders, business teams, and customer-facing stakeholders. Lead workshops, discovery sessions, stakeholder reviews, and requirements-gathering discussions to align analytical solutions with business needs. Communicate complex analytical concepts in clear, concise, business-friendly language. Mentor analysts and promote best practices in analytics, data storytelling, model documentation, reporting quality, and stakeholder communication. Collaborate with UX/UI and technology teams to ensure reporting tools and analytical interfaces are intuitive, actionable, and user-friendly. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field; Master’s degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, data science, business intelligence, data product management, or customer-facing insights. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional analytics initiatives from concept through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau, Microsoft Office, and data visualization/storytelling methods. Strong Python programming experience for analytics, automation, statistical analysis, and machine learning workflows. Experience working with large and complex datasets, data warehouses, Snowflake, cloud analytics environments, and/or Azure services. Experience translating business requirements into dashboards, predictive models, data products, insights, and executive recommendations. Experience with Salesforce or CRM-related data is an asset. Key Competencies Strategic thinker with strong product ownership mindset and ability to connect analytics work to business value. Strong communication, executive storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills. Self-starter with the ability to manage complex, ambiguous, and cross-functional projects independently. Strong analytical, statistical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills. Passion for continuous learning, innovation, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making. Ability to influence without authority and build trust across business, technology, and operational teams. Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, A/B testing, and large-scale analytical datasets. Knowledge of Canadian healthcare, specialty pharmacy, patient support programs, and/or biopharma landscape is considered an asset. Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, patient support programs, life sciences, or regulated environments. Experience leading AI/ML or advanced analytics initiatives in production or operational settings. Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, data governance, privacy requirements, and data product documentation. Experience building scalable analytics products used by multiple business functions or customer groups. Experience with Azure, Snowflake, Salesforce, Power BI, Python, SQL, and modern cloud-based data platforms.
