ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT – EAST 49TH PROJECT Aragon Properties Ltd. Location: Vancouver, BC Project: East 49th – 143-Unit Multi-Family Residential Development Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 per year About Aragon Properties Ltd. Aragon Properties Ltd. is a respected real estate developer and builder recognized for delivering thoughtfully designed residential communities. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our construction team on our East 49th Project, a 143-unit residential rental development currently in the framing stage. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to advance their career while working alongside an experienced site management team on a large-scale residential project. Position Summary The Assistant Superintendent will support the Site Superintendent in coordinating daily construction activities, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality control, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. The successful candidate will have strong field experience in wood-frame residential construction and demonstrated success scheduling and coordinating multiple trades. Key Responsibilities Assist the Site Superintendent in managing day-to-day site operations. Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and trades to maintain project milestones and construction schedules. Monitor framing, building envelope, and subsequent construction activities to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and identify deficiencies, ensuring timely corrective action. Support project safety initiatives and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies. Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and security. Assist with inspections by consultants, engineers, municipalities, and other project stakeholders. Track labour, materials, and equipment usage to support project efficiency. Review drawings and specifications and help resolve construction-related issues in the field. Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and ownership groups. Document daily site activities, progress updates, and project reports. Participate in project meetings and contribute to schedule planning and execution. Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in residential or mixed-use construction, preferably wood-frame multi-family projects. Experience working as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or similar site leadership role. Proven experience scheduling and coordinating multiple trades to meet construction deadlines. Solid understanding of wood-frame construction practices, building envelope systems, and finishing stages. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of construction sequencing and project scheduling. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is considered an asset. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
