As the RN, you’ll lead the care team, develop personalized care plans, assess residents’ needs, and perform essential nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatments, and patient transfers. About The Role As a Registered Nurse at Baptist Housing, you will provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. Your role is crucial in ensuring their health, safety, and well-being in a warm and welcoming environment. This role is for an evening line, 15:00pm - 23:00pm Key Responsibilities will include: Deliver comprehensive nursing care based on individualized resident needs. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Administer medications and treatments following best practices and safety protocols. Advocate for residents' well-being, fostering a person-centered approach to care. Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting teamwork and professional development. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use electronic health records effectively. Contribute to a positive and respectful workplace culture. Requirements Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric, palliative, or complex care is preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Commitment to a person-centered approach to care. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and electronic health records. Current First Aid and CPR certification. You are also well-versed in pharmacological therapies, the Wellness Model, legal documentation, and the complex intricacies of the healthcare system at various levels. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $41.42 to $55.91 for Level 3 Registered Nurses (RNs), along with the opportunity to work in a supportive and caring community. Candidates must hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM and possess current First Aid and CPR certification. A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric, palliative, or complex care is preferred along with strong clinical assessment skills.
