With a team of diverse and seasoned healthcare professionals, we customize treatment programs in a variety of environments: 24-hour residential treatment, supported living, community programs, and therapeutic day programs. We utilize a person-and family-centered care (PFCC) approach, which recognizes the importance of family in a patient’s life and the importance of their active involvement in planning and making decisions on health care, services and treatment, and health system reform. This approach to care provides respectful, compassionate, culturally safe, and responsive care that meets the needs, values, beliefs, and preferences of the patient, their family, and others identified as significant to their life from diverse backgrounds and settings. POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking a full-time Program Manager for our Etobicoke Residential/Clinic Program, which provides 24-hour residential rehab, as well as community, group, and day programming for acquired brain injury (ABI) survivors. The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall clinical, operational, and administrative management of the program, ensuring high-quality client care, staff leadership, program performance, and compliance with Bayshore policies and professional standards. This position is based out of our Etobicoke Residence, which is a group-home setting equipped with treatment rooms, a physiotherapy gym, administrative offices, and a ‘clubhouse’ where adult group programming occurs three times per week. We provide a multidisciplinary, customized approach to address the specific brain injury sequelae of each client, which may include physical, cognitive, and/or psychological deficits; as well as concurrent mental, behavioural, and/or substance abuse challenges. Overall, our team strives to support ABI survivors with their recovery through executing functional, meaningful, and productive programs. As the Program Manager, you will be directly involved in each client’s care, and accountable for all aspects of the program. Education Post-secondary degree/diploma in health care, social services, or psychology; specializations in neurology and/or rehabilitation preferred. Current First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Intervention certification. Experience 3-5 years of progressive experience in a rehabilitation healthcare field; strong leadership in clinical and program development with ability to handle all aspects of client and employee standards of care and interpreting company Policies and Procedures. Knowledge and/or experience working with individuals with mental health issues, dual diagnoses, behavioural issues, chronic pain, and addictions. Other Skills & Abilities Above average initiative, organization skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Creativity, resourcefulness, and of a high level of emotional stability and maturity. Technological literacy, ability to operate business machines and software is essential. G driver's license, vehicle, and appropriate insurance to transport clients (as needed) and/or travel between locations is required. Tolerant of ambiguity and able to make decisions effectively in fast changing environments. Exemplify compassion, excellence and reliability. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent manner. Conflict resolution skills and ability to work with clients and team members towards solutions. Ability to address issues such as verbal aggression, physical and environmental aggression, elopement, socially inappropriate behaviours. Flexibility: hours can vary depending on client census and are to be adapted to clients and their programs, which may require evenings and weekends, as well as remote availability for emergencies and crisis situations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Client Care & Clinical Program Coordination Support client admissions, discharges, and care planning. Coordinate treatment plans, rehabilitation programming, and daily schedules. Facilitate access to healthcare services, equipment, medications, and other client needs. Oversee medication management and clinical documentation. Lead case conferences, staff meetings, and program rounds. Provide Rehabilitation Therapist coverage when required. Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and rehabilitation models. Address client behaviour and risk management concerns, including aggression, elopement, and inappropriate behaviours. Participate in the on-call rotation Customer Service Maintain professional, timely verbal and written communication with internal team, as well as clients, families, funders, referral sources, insurers, lawyers, case managers, physicians, health care professionals, and external clinicians regarding client care. Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, providing excellent customer service. Represent Bayshore ICS NRIO professionally and positively within the community. People Management Provide strong leadership, direction, and supervision to frontline paraprofessional field staff, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitor staffing requirements and proactively recruit to maintain adequate staffing levels. Ensure staff compulsory training requirements are met in collaboration with clinical/senior leadership and human resource personnel. Proactively implement additional training as needed to ensure staff are qualified and able to contribute to high-quality service delivery. Engage in proactive and routine performance management, including goal setting, probationary and annual evaluations, performance improvement plans in consultation with senior leadership and human resources. Develop and distribute weekly staff schedules. Manage time-off requests in accordance with policies and procedures. Collect, verify, and authorize all staff timesheets and expenses; forward to the Payroll Administrator by established deadline. Health & Safety Participate in proactive health & safety activities while performing all duties. Maintain compliance with established health & safety protocols and procedures including inspections, fire drills, infection prevention and control measures, etc. Notify immediate supervisor of any health & safety risks or concerns. Marketing & Professional Development Understand and facilitate the services ICS NRIO markets and provide innovative input. Participate in research, marketing, and education presentations as required. Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities. Operations & Quality Assurance Monitor and report on program outcomes, key performance indicators, and quality metrics to support continuous improvement and organizational objectives. Manage the identified clinical program budget in consultation with senior leadership. Complete petty cash and relevant billing procedures, participating in routine audits and ensuring accuracy and accountability. Manage designated facility, ensuring completion of necessary maintenance and repairs. Effectively use and maintain information management systems (public drive, intranet, etc.) Other duties as requested. Ready to join us?
