OVERNIGHT FOOD PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER Join Team Bento and be a part of our group of companies which operates more than 12000 locations globally. Location and hours Ontario Food Factory: 25 Sims Crescent, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1C9 | 10:00 pm to 6:30 am Responsibilities The role of the Food Production Team Leader is to assist the Production Supervisor and Production Manager to ensure the smooth operations of the factory. In charge of cutting and preparing vegetables including, but not limited to, avocado, cucumber, carrots and pepper in an efficient/timely manner to enable the sushi production line to run without delays Responsible for performing root cause analysis for any vegetable preparation delays Responsible for introducing most efficient vegetable preparation techniques to your team In charge of mixing meat with seasoning Familiarity with automated packing labelling machine Maintain food supplies and calculate ingredients needed from the fridge and conduct daily production records Assign duties to production teammates to ensure on time preparation of the vegetables for production runs Ensure the production areas are cleaned and ready for use at all time Check food quality according to the Bento’s standards In charge of implementing and executing corrective actions according to product’s quality Coach teammates on all operating standards including food safety and quality control Qualifications Minimum high school diploma Previous experience in vegetable preparation in fast-paced environments Ability to use knives, peelers, slicers safely and efficiently Knowledge of best practices in vegetable preparations (cutting, peeling, slicing) techniques Previous work experience in frozen meat packaging is required Previous knowledge of setting up label machines is a plus You thrive in a highly repetitive task environment Able to work in a refrigerated, cold climate (10°C working climate, 4°C for walk in refrigerator and -18°C for walk in freezer) Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) where required and stand for extended periods Flexible to work various shifts and weekends Ability to lead and direct a team Basic computer knowledge Basic English communication skills Basic knowledge in mathematics Why you should join our team: Full-Time starting immediately at $20.00/hour.
