Location: Niagara Falls, ON Status: Full-Time Permanent, On-Site This posting is to fill an existing vacancy. About the Role The Dispatcher plays a key role in coordinating daily transportation operations for Niagara Airbus. This position is responsible for scheduling drivers, organizing passenger pick‑ups and drop‑offs, monitoring routes, and ensuring timely, efficient, and safe service delivery in support of a 24/7 operating environment. This role offers an hourly wage of $20.90 and includes eligibility for the incentive program. This position follows a 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule on a four‑days‑on, four‑days‑off rotation. Flexibility is required to provide vacation relief and team coverage, which may include temporary shift adjustments to the 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. schedule. Key Responsibilities Dispatch & Scheduling Coordinate and dispatch drivers for airport shuttles, charters, and scheduled routes Create and adjust daily schedules based on passenger bookings, traffic conditions, and operational needs Monitor vehicle locations and route progress to ensure on‑time performance Communicate schedule changes, delays, and updates to drivers in real time Customer & Driver Support Provide clear, professional communication to drivers, passengers, and internal teams Respond to inquiries regarding pick‑ups, drop‑offs, delays, and service expectations Assist with resolving service issues, last‑minute changes, and operational challenges Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times Operational Coordination Track vehicle availability, maintenance requirements, and driver assignments Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations Collaborate with operations, customer service, and management to support daily workflow Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules, incidents, and operational data Technology & Systems Use dispatching software, GPS tools, and internal systems to manage routes and schedules Update trip information, driver assignments, and service notes in real time Monitor communication channels (phone, radio, email) to support ongoing operations Qualifications & Skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage time‑sensitive tasks Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high‑pressure situations Strong problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions Proficiency with dispatching systems, GPS tools, and basic computer applications Customer‑service oriented with a professional and positive attitude Valid Class G driver’s license or higher (E, B, or C)F Class License, current or willingness to obtain Valid Passport Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs Clean driving record meeting company insurance requirements Education & Experience High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in transportation, logistics, or a related field is an asset Previous experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or logistics preferred Experience working in a customer‑facing or fast‑paced operational environment Familiarity with the Niagara Region and surrounding areas considered an advantage Working Conditions On‑site position in a fast‑paced dispatch office environment Shift work required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Frequent communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and respond quickly to operational changes Interview Process Our process is designed to provide a full picture of how you would contribute to our team: Pre-screening call In-person interview Background and references Offer CAA Niagara does not currently use artificial intelligence in screening or selection of applicants.
