Many of our leaders began in entry-level positions, and we encourage internal promotions. * Exploration and Adventure. * Perks and Discounts: Free stay at other HI properties and 50% for your friends and family. * Free Hosteling International Memberships. * Free FAM trips. * Meet like-minded travellers everydayand help them discover Halifax. * A laid-back working atmosphere * Employee & Family Assistance Program What You'll Be Doing as a Housekeeper * Work as a team to maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the hostel. * Clean all guestrooms efficiently and effectively to ensure they are ready for check in time. * Ensure all common areas, washrooms, showers and hallways are cleaned to our standard. * Follow the hostel cleaning schedule. * Communicate regularly with the Housekeeping Supervisor and the Night Auditor to ensure rooms are cleaned as needed. * Perform laundry duties such as collecting linens and towels, washing, folding, and putting them away. What we look for * You’ll need to be in a state of fitness that allows you to spend 6-7 hours on your feet every day. * You’ll need to enjoy working as part of a team and bringing your positive energy and humour to work every day. Our Housekeeping department has one of the most important tasks in our hostel, and we need teammates who understand that, and are keen to be part of delivering a great experience to our guests every day. Maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the hostel, including guestrooms, common areas, and washrooms. Perform laundry duties such as collecting, washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels.

Candidates must be physically fit to spend 6-7 hours on their feet daily and possess a positive, energetic attitude. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a great guest experience are essential.
