What's in it for you * The best value on staff accommodation: $7.00 for a shared room * Have fun with a tight-knit group of colleagues on and off shift * All units are fully furnished * Free HI Memberships * Free stay at other HI properties and ACC huts * Use of sauna and pool table, ping pong table at the hostel * Free Wi-Fi * 40% off in Bill Peyto’s Café * Gratuities * A laid-back, casual work environment that is a lot less stuffy than working in a hotel. * Employee & Family Assistance Program What you will be doing as a Server/Host * Greeting guests warmly as they arrive and thanking them as they leave * Managing walk in seating flow and waitlist * Seating guests efficiently while balancing table rotations and service needs * Helping clear tables and set tables * Providing information about hours and menu offerings * Supporting the service team by communicating table status and guest needs * Keeping the host stand and front-of-house area organized and presentable * Handling guest concerns or directing issues to management when needed * Maintaining a friendly, calm, and professional presence during busy periods * Assisting with basic side duties such as menus, cleaning, and cutlery Reporting to the Dining Room Supervisor, the Servers are part of the day-to-day operations of Bill Peyto's Cafe. As Cafe Server, you will be responsible for delivering high quality customer service to cafe guests by greeting and serving guests in a friendly, timely, and professional manner. You will be scheduled to work 3 morning serving shifts and 2 afternoon/evening hosting shifts. This is a full-time seasonal contract position running to mid October. The server/host is responsible for greeting guests, managing the waitlist, and seating customers efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area. They also support the service team by clearing tables, communicating guest needs, and providing information about menu offerings.

The ideal candidate possesses a warm, welcoming personality with strong customer service and communication skills. Previous experience in hospitality is considered an asset, though not required, and candidates must be able to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
