Description: As a Plumber / Journeyperson on the shop floor, you will be reporting to the Director of Operations, and you’ll support the fabrication, assembly, and installation of water treatment systems. This role blends hands-on trade skills with careful, detail-oriented work. You’ll work closely with project, fabrication, and startup teams to help deliver reliable, high-quality equipment to CWT clients. Your experience in piping, mechanical assembly, and safe work practices will help ensure our systems are built correctly, documented properly, and ready for shipping, installation, and commissioning. Responsibilities: Build and install piping systems using PVC, CPVC, stainless, and other materials common to high-purity water treatment. Perform PVC solvent welding to CWT standards. Assemble valves, pumps, fittings, supports, instrumentation, and skid components. Interpret P&IDs, layout drawings, isometrics, and fabrication sketches. Support the construction of ancillary brackets and mounting hardware. Keep the fabrication area clean and organized and maintain neat, orderly work habits. Document daily work progress and support project logs. Prepare project skids for shipment, including protection and crating, as required. Assist with inventory checks and material handling. Position Qualifications: Journeyperson Plumber or equivalent trade certification. Experience with mechanical assembly and piping in industrial or commercial environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be legally able to work in Canada and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable abstract. What We’re Looking For: Proficient in PVC solvent welding. Comfortable reading drawings, schematics, and P&IDs. Organized, systematic, and able to perform detailed work with accuracy. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Flexibility and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience with conflict management and resolution. Industry experience in oil and gas, health care, mining, construction, and hydrogeology is an asset. Working Conditions: Some heavy lifting as required. Short term travel (typically up to one week) to job sites is a condition of hire (Western Canada) and will occur on an as needed basis. Alcohol and drug testing is required on some sites and is a condition of hire. Drivers Abstract is required, and confirmation of insurability required. Technical /Trade School or Equivalent Experience Required. Police Criminal records check may be required.
