As a Field Operator in the Wildcat Hills area, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of Canlin’s production assets. This includes sour gas wells, field compression, pipeline pigging, plunger lift systems, and chemical rate monitoring. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment and support operational excellence across production, cost management, safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency response. Location: Panther & Burnt Timber Fields The Role This is a full-time role in the Panther/Burnt Timber fields west of Sundre and consists of a 40-hour work week (shift subject to change). This role will support the Panther/Burnt Timber Areas and occasionally support other assets within the Wildcat Hills District. The following are key responsibilities: Support the Production Foreman in the safe and reliable operation of wells and facilities. Maintain equipment and infrastructure to meet production throughput requirements. Adhere to all Canlin policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with IROC, Operations, and MRA teams. Use opLYNX to maintain accurate daily logs, production readings, and reports. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Foster a collaborative and adaptive team environment. Contribute to district goals aligned with Canlin’s low-cost producer strategy. Please note: This position is within the scope of the collective agreement between Canlin Energy and Unifor Local 1400. Compensation will be determined as per the collective agreement. The Person 3 – 5 years of experience in field operations. Trades or technical certification (student or graduate) would be considered an asset. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and motivate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Comfortable working in sour gas processing environments. Experience in upstream gas processing and gathering system optimization is an asset. High school diploma required. Valid Class 5 driver’s license. This person will be required to meet physical demands associated with operational work (lifting up-to 50lbs, use of stairs/ladders, work outdoors in various weather conditions) Takes initiative to create positive change and brings forward new ideas and initiatives Ability to shift priorities and focus on completing tasks in a timely manner
