Role Description The Parts, Inventory & Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Kamloops, BC, responsible for day-to-day parts, materials, inventory, shipping, receiving, warehouse activities, and related ERP transactions. The successful candidate will have an interest industrial machinery and equipment components and be comfortable using Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify, organize, pick, and prepare parts for service, project, aftermarket, and customer requirements. This hands-on role combines warehouse operations, inventory control, purchasing support, shipping/receiving, and logistics coordination. The Specialist will work closely with the Logistics Manager, Operations, Engineering, Sales, freight carriers, and internal teams to ensure parts and materials are available when required. Key Responsibilities • Receive, inspect, identify, label, organize, and store incoming parts and materials. • Pick, stage, and pack parts using BOMs, work orders, and project requirements, while working closely with Engineering and Operations to understand equipment configurations and material requirements. • Identify and locate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, mining, grouting, and industrial components. • Maintain accurate inventory records, ERP transactions, and related documentation by monitoring inventory levels, performing stock checks and counts, investigating discrepancies, identifying shortages, and coordinating replenishment and purchasing activities. • Coordinate pickups, deliveries, couriers, freight, and other transportation requirements to ensure parts and materials are available for service, projects, and aftermarket requirements. • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse while supporting continuous improvement of inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and logistics processes, and performing related warehouse, inventory, and logistics duties as required. • Communicate and resolve delays, shortages, damaged goods, supplier issues, returns, warranty shipments, replacement-part requirements, and other logistics concerns in coordination with the Logistics Manager. Qualifications • Experience with industrial, mining, manufacturing, heavy, mechanical, or similar equipment preferred. • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machinery components, equipment-part identification, and BOM-based part selection. • 1+ years of experience in inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, parts, or a related role preferred • Experience with inventory control, counts, reconciliation and ERP systems. • Strong computer, spreadsheet, organizational, and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail. • Experience coordinating shipments, freight, couriers, purchasing activities, and supplier communication. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently. • Ability to safely lift and move parts and materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and heavier items using appropriate lifting equipment and safe material-handling practices • Valid driver's license and ability to work safely in a hands-on industrial warehouse environment; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is an asset. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is hands-on, mechanically minded, organized, and comfortable working with equipment and parts. The ideal candidate is someone who can look at a BOM, understand what the equipment requires, locate the correct components, prepare them for shipment or production, and ensure inventory records accurately reflect what is physically in the warehouse. This position is well suited to someone with experience as a parts specialist, warehouse specialist, inventory coordinator, shipping/receiving specialist, heavy equipment parts person, or industrial materials coordinator who wants to develop their career within the mining and industrial equipment sector.
