Position Description CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager. The successful candidate will lead complex business and technology initiatives in a highly regulated environment, working closely with client executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and government stakeholders. This is a senior delivery role requiring strong project governance, stakeholder management, risk management and execution capabilities. The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring assigned initiatives are effectively planned, governed and delivered against agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality and security requirements. Location: Halifax and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia: On-site, 5 days per week Employment Type: Full-time Security Requirements: Canadian Controlled Goods Program eligibility and Canadian Government Reliability and/or Secret Security Clearance eligibility Your future duties and responsibilities Lead projects through the complete lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control and closure. Develop and maintain project charters, integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts and resource plans. Establish project governance, reporting and performance-management processes. Manage project scope, schedule, cost, dependencies, risks, issues and changes. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams consisting of business, infrastructure, application, security, architecture, database and vendor resources. Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, workshops and executive-level status reviews. Develop project dashboards, status reports, metrics and executive presentations. Identify project risks and issues and establish appropriate mitigation and contingency plans. Manage dependencies across projects, programs and operational teams. Ensure project activities align with client policies, contractual obligations, security requirements and applicable government standards. Build strong relationships with client executives, functional leaders, technical teams, suppliers and other stakeholders. Support continuous improvement of project management processes, controls and governance. Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members and junior project management resources. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role 10+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably delivering complex technology, infrastructure, defence, government or large enterprise initiatives. Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, performance measurement, risk management and reporting. Experience leading cross-functional technical and business teams. Strong vendor and stakeholder-management experience. Excellent written, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior executives. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. PMP or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred/required. Experience within defence, shipbuilding, federal government or another highly regulated environment is considered a strong asset. Lean Six Sigma or other continuous-improvement certification is considered an asset. Candidates must: Be available to work on-site in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, five days per week. Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability and/or Secret security clearance, as required by the assignment. Have the required Canadian residency history to support the applicable security-clearance process, including 5+ years of residency in Canada where required. Be eligible for registration under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000–$145,000. This role is a future opportunity.
